When you visit Ensenada Mexico, either from a plane or from a cruise ship. There are questions in our mind of how can we get cheap tours or excursions? My wife and I visited Ensenada, Mexico many times from a cruise ship. And we believe that buying a shore excursions from the cruise is expensive, but there are some that are worth it too. Therefore, let me tell you our experience and what we did last time we visited Ensenada, Mexico.
Before I continue, let me tell you the first time we visited Ensenada was way back in 2008 when we took a 5 day Baja, California cruise through Carnival. We don’t have any idea what to do and where to go that’s why we bought the excursions inside the ship. It cost us $120 for two going to La Bufadora plus the city tour. I thought that was expensive that’s why I wrote this blog to help first-time travelers and cruisers of how to get cheap excursion in Ensenada, Mexico.
Book Online
If you know your itinerary and how long you been staying in Ensenada. Book online ahead of time for your tours. When coming from a cruise, you can book online before your cruise trip starts. There’s a lot of websites that offer cheaper tours, just compare all of them. They also have a free pick up in ports and hotels just be sure you book ahead of time. Remember, ahead of time.
Rent A Car
Renting a car is the best way to get around the area in Ensenada. But depending on your group size, you could also rent a van or shuttle if you have a big group. During our visit to Ensenada, we rented a shuttle with a driver and they charge us $15 per person the whole day. In our case, we have 6 people in our group. The driver brought us anywhere we want to go and like to do. So for $15 per person is not bad if you have a big group because we had like private transportation for the whole day. But if you travel with a couple, the best way is to rent a car or just ride a taxicab.
