Cruising is one of our favorite thing to do during our vacation and sometimes it could be hectic if you forget something important during your cruise trip. My wife and I have been cruising many times, and we’ve been to short as 3 days cruise in Mexico to 15 days cruise in Hawaii.
Here are the things that you must bring during your Cruise Trip.
Passport For Cruise Trip
Passport is the most important thing you need to bring on your cruise trip. Regardless of your citizenship, every cruise trip needs a passport because every ships traveled from one country to another.
Identification Card
Another important thing you need is an identification card. You probably saying, why should I bring my I.D if I already have a passport, well here’s why. For us, when we’re on a ship, we don’t need to bring our passport when we go out and visit certain cities. It’s safer to do that way in case we lost our wallet or bags during our trip outside the ship.
Cruises Require Credit Cards
All cruise ships require credit card upon check-in. They connect your credit card to your cabin card and this will serve as your form of payment in all your purchase inside the cruise. For example, if you like to buy drinks in the bar or shirts in the gift shop, just give your cabin card and that’s it. So if you’re first time cruisers make sure bring your credit card.
Print Documents For Cruise
Printing important documents such as a flight to the cruise port, hotel confirmations, tours and other documents confirmations to your trip ahead. We recommend printing your important documents even though we can access everything through our smartphone, we still don’t if you’re going to have internet when you are in a different country.
Cruise Clothes
We suggest you don’t overpack when you’re going on a cruise, always pack just about how long is your cruise. All cruise ships offer laundry services at a reasonable price if you have a long cruise. For the shoes, you don’t need to bring a lot. My wife and I always bring three pairs, one for the formal, one for casual and one tennis shoes. Travel Kit/Medicine Kit For Cruise Trip
One of the most important things to bring when you’re cruising is to bring your travel kit with you or medicine kit. There’s a lot of people on a ship and you will be traveling to different places, different weather which put you at risk to get sick. The main 3 medication you must bring are pain medications (Tylenol or Motrin), Benadryl because you might eat something you’re allergic to, and for stomachache (Pepto and/or Tums).
