Transportation
If you have no physical limitation, I highly suggest walking. Ceuta is one of the ports where you can enjoy yourself without booking an excursion. There are plenty of places to visit near the port with no need of transportation.
Taxis are available and they accept credit cards. Make sure to ask the driver if they accept cards.
Food
Ceuta gives you an opportunity to try Spanish, Moroccan, Portuguese, and Arabic food. Restaurants along the coast are more expensive. Ceuta offers a variety of great seafood.

The cruise port in Ceuta is around 10 minute walk to the visitor center. We felt safe walking through the city.
The Port of Ceuta is located in the Spanish enclave of North Africa in Ceuta. It is one of the main ports that connect the southern shore of the Strait of Gibraltar with the north, along with the ports of Tangier and Tangier Med, and the only Spanish one, together with Melilla, set deep in the mainland of Africa. The city center is only few minutes walk from the cruise port. You will reach most of the tourist points by walking. You may take taxi on your way back to the cruise port if needed with minimal fee (around 5 Euros). Ceuta is good for shopping. They have the lowest tax among Spain/Europe.
These are the places we visited:
a. Monumental Complex of the Royal Walls – the big wall that you will see after exiting the cruise port.
b. Plaze de Africa here you will see 2 churches:
Our Lady of Africa Sanctuary and The Cathedral
c. Playa de la Ribera (Ribera Beach) – walk behind The Cathedral to pass this beach
d. City Hall – this is behind the Our Lady of Africa Sanctuary
e. Follow the long alley by the City Hall for shopping. We keep going until we reach the Dragon House.
f. Dragon House
g. Ceuta Casino/Parque Maritimo – We went downhill to the street next to Dragon House to reach this place.
h. Walk along the Marina – you will see different statues.
f. City Market- we pass the entrance of the market along the Marina but you may go reach this at the end of the long alley after passing the City Hall, before you go uphill. Here you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, spices, local stores, and food.
g. Hercules Statue – sign of the division of Europe and Africa. Of all the statues, this is the must see.

Ceuta is a small city which goes beyond our expectation because of its beauty and tranquility. The rich history and influences of different countries made this place a unique haven. We enjoy exploring the city and learning about different cultures, traditions, and enjoy local food. Ceuta cruise port delivers a unique experience without breaking the bank.
