I just returned from a long deployment and wanted to go on vacation to relax and unwind. I’ve searched places, countries to visit, flights, but nothing fits my purpose and budget. Since I heard about cruise vacation from my fellow deployment buddies I was curious and searched for it. We booked our first cruise and fell in love cruising.
If you are looking for the best vacation, I suggest going on a cruise should be one of your options. Here’s the reason why….
Best Vacation To Relax
Checking-in is smooth unlike staying in the airport and waiting for your flight. You will be treated like a celebrity. You go to sleep, wake-up, eat breakfast or have room service, then when you come back to your room your bed is done. You have nothing to worry about. All you have to do is relax, enjoy, eat, sleep, rest, play, watch a show, party, and drink. They have a swimming pool, spa, jacuzzies, gym, walking/running trail, and different shows & activities.
Amazing Unlimited & Overflowing Food
Food is a must on a vacation. And yes… it is free and overflowing on the cruise. Cruise ships are competing for the best food to attract cruiser so expect the best gourmet and signature dishes.
Cruises have other restaurants where you have to pay but the main dining room and buffet are great. In fact, I won’t even recommend paying if you are on a budget. Some cruises have known restaurants or food chain on board. And yes… most of them are free. Most cruise lines have lobster night but this depends on the length of the cruise. I usually asked for 2 lobster since they are a medium size. They said when you are on a cruise expect to gain a pound per day.

Visit Different Places
Going on a cruise gives you an opportunity to visit different places and learn different culture. You are not stuck in one place or just a resort. You are traveling but enjoying each day while you visit each port. (Check out our visit in Alaska)Unlike flying on one location, you spend hours in the airport, have to take a cab or rent a car. On a cruise, you are enjoying every minute, being pampered with excellent customer service, and meeting new friends.
Good Deal For The Price
The price of a cabin per day is excellent compared to booking a hotel and a flight. My husband and I always book a good deal cruise. If you book a regular hotel you will pay around $100, but that doesn’t include food and entertainment. On a cruise, your rate includes your private room, unlimited great food, entertainment, excellent customer service, and enable to visit different places and countries.
Entertainment
My husband and I enjoy all the entertainment on the cruise. We always go to the highlighted shows. They offer free classes like ballroom, line dancing, crafts, music, cooking, and many more. My husband and I learned our first waltz on a cruise. They have different games, casino, bingo, and even bowling and golf. We love to play ping-pong, bag-o, pool table, and basketball. I remember our cruise to Hawaii, we even have the ukulele class and Hawaiian dance class and we performed in the end as our recital.
I love cruising so much that I can go on and on. If you haven’t cruise please do so. You will love it and remember this… while on board on your first cruise, you will be thinking about your next cruise.
